As far as strains, they come and go so much that it's hard to say at any time, but I think you can't go wrong with Grassroots sugars and budders lately I've been enjoying the GLeaf and Culta also. Diamonds are great, but I keep them separate because they are generally gonna be more expensive to the point you can get a couple of things for the price of 1g diamonds, so I only really entertain those on occasion or if it's a strain I've been really wanting to try. But, I really prefer the budder/badder, then sugar, shatter, then sauce (even though sauce is I think more coveted in general, I think it's kind of a pain in the ass to work with). Of the textures, shatter is a great texture to learn with because its generally the cheapest. but now a days even my wife wields the torch with ease. I'd make dabs too big, or burn them way too hot or not hot enough. I think about the wasted wax as I figured it out. Nothing can heat like a torch if you want big hits, it takes a while to get the process down.

I got a Puffco about 4 months into it and used it regularly for a bit, but ultimately after trying a few different ways, I think the best route is a banger and a plumber torch. If you have kids, the lack of smell with wax is so helpful for indoor medicating, also it doesn't give me the cotton mouth like flower did. I dove into concentrate when I got the card and haven't looked back.

I had no real experience with wax, but had been using flower for a long time. This is in my opinion the only way to experience a true concentrated profile of the originating plant material. The way the batter/budders/live budders are produced involves a whipping method which ensures that you will be receiving the same cannabinoid-to-terpene ratio every single hit, as opposed to weighing heavy on one or the other. The reason i prefer batters overall is due to homogenization. I tend to prefer live batter over cured batter due to terpene content, but a meticulously produced cured product is just as good as a live product if it’s made right. I always tend to prefer budders/batters over any other concentrate type (diamonds, diamonds in sauce, shatter, sugar, etc.). Then it’s simply a matter of difference between whether it’s cured budder / badder vs. Great value buy of the four.īudder & batter are interchangeable for me. Shatter is great if you’re just looking for potency and not flavor.
